About Megan Crowell
Mental Health Therapist | Counselling
Megan completed her Bachelor of Education at the University of Alberta and her Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) at Yorkville while working full-time as an Emotional-Behavioural Specialist with Edmonton Catholic Schools for the past few years. Before stepping into these roles, she worked as a teacher in a variety of settings, such as community classrooms, early intervention centres, and special education schools. Over the years, she's had the privilege of supporting children and teens aged 3 to 18 with a wide range of learning, behavioural, and neurodevelopmental needs through a neurodiversity-affirming lens.
Megan is deeply passionate about walking alongside families, offering support that is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and collaborative. She recognizes the importance of individualized support and the remarkable capacity for growth inherent within every person.
At Little Oaks, Megan works with individuals of all ages, including children, teenagers, and adults. Her therapeutic approach is person-centred and strength-based, primarily focusing on cognitive behavioural strategies to provide comprehensive support.
