What is ADHD-Focused Therapy & Coaching (aka: “Thera-Coaching”)?
ADHD Thera-Coaching is an integrated approach that combines the emotional depth of therapy with the practical structure of coaching. It recognizes that ADHD impacts both internal experiences — such as mood, self-esteem and emotional regulation — and external functioning — such as organization, time management, and follow-through. Addressing both at the same time creates more effective and sustainable change.
Therapy focuses on emotional wellness and self-understanding, helping individuals navigate common challenges such as shame, anxiety, overwhelm, and burnout. Coaching is action-oriented, building practical executive functioning skills like time management, planning, organization, prioritization, and accountability. Integrated together, insight transforms into action. Emotional resilience strengthens consistency, and effective systems reinforce therapeutic growth.
The approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and individualized. We begin with a comprehensive assessment and shared goal-setting, followed by client-centered, evidence-informed strategies tailored to each person’s strengths and needs. Ongoing reflection and evaluation ensure that tools remain practical, sustainable, and responsive as life evolves.
Through compassionate guidance and skill development, individuals reduce overwhelm, build confidence, and create supportive systems that foster resilience, independence, and meaningful engagement in daily life.
