Motivation During a Pandemic

This week on Conversations with Psychologists, Jen Benson, Registered Provisional Psychologist, shares about cultivating motivation and physical wellbeing during lockdowns and isolation. Little Oaks Psychology's director, Larissa Predy, talks with Jen about the various ways we can enlist motivation when we're feeling lonely or down or simply tired. Jen is Canadian Certified Counsellor and Registered Provisional Psychologist. Overall health and wellness has always played an important role in Jen’s life and she has been a leader in the health and wellness industry in a variety of roles for over fifteen years. In her past career she helped people define and achieve goals, gain insight and understanding and make positive changes to improve their lives. She is passionate about people helping people create a holistic approach to wellness in their lives and carries this same passion in her work as a therapist. As a clinician, Jen’s goal is to create a safe space and build a collaborative relationship where her clients can cultivate self-awareness and understanding of themselves which in turn can create positive change. Jen practices from a strength-based, client-centered approach and utilizes a variety of techniques that best suits her client’s needs. She views mental health through a comprehensive lens and promotes self-compassion, mindfulness, and acceptance.
